Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts and Tax Senior to join our dynamic financial services team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing complex accounting processes, preparing tax documentation, and providing strategic financial insights. Responsibilities

Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other specialised programmes to maintain accurate records.
Assist with tax planning, preparation, and submission for individual and corporate clients.
Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for optimisation.
Support clients with financial planning strategies to meet their short-term and long-term objectives.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies through meticulous documentation and reporting.
Collaborate with auditors during audits to facilitate smooth review processes.
Provide mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.

Experience

Proven experience working within the financial services sector, particularly in accounting or tax roles.
Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent platforms.
Demonstrable expertise in managing accounts payable functions and financial accounting procedures.
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the UK market.
Prior experience in financial planning or advisory services is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
