CHEF DE PARTIE

The White Hart Inn, Moorwood Moor, Derbyshire

£13.50–£14.50 per hour, depending on experience
Full-time · Approximately 45 hours over 4–4.5 days per week

We are looking for an experienced, friendly and dependable Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at The White Hart Inn.

Set in the Derbyshire countryside, The White Hart is a stunning country inn serving freshly prepared pub food seven days a week. Alongside our busy restaurant, we are an award-winning wedding venue hosting approximately 100 weddings each year, as well as private parties, corporate events and other functions.

This is a varied, hands-on role for a capable chef who takes pride in preparing fresh food and maintaining consistently high standards.

THE ROLE

Working alongside our Head Chef, Sous Chef and wider kitchen team, you will:

Prepare and cook dishes from our freshly made seasonal pub menu
Take responsibility for your section during preparation and service
Work across a mixture of breakfast, lunch and dinner services
Support the delivery of weddings, private events and functions
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
Complete preparation accurately and efficiently
Follow food safety, allergen and kitchen-cleaning procedures
Help manage stock levels and reduce unnecessary food waste
Support junior members of the kitchen team
Remain calm, organised and positive during busy services

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience as a Chef de Partie or is an experienced Commis Chef ready to progress
Has experience working with fresh ingredients and preparing food from scratch
Can confidently manage a section during service
Takes pride in producing consistently good food
Is friendly, reliable and works well as part of a team
Has good knowledge of food hygiene and allergen procedures
Is comfortable working in a busy country inn and wedding venue
Is flexible and available for breakfast, daytime and evening services

Due to our countryside location and limited public transport, applicants must either drive and have reliable transport or live locally with dependable transport arrangements.

HOURS AND ROTA

This is a full-time position working approximately 45 hours across 4–4.5 days per week.

The rota will include a mixture of breakfast, lunch and dinner services, including evenings and weekends. We aim to provide one weekend day off each week wherever possible.
