The Holiday Inn Newcastle South offers visitors to the North East the opportunity to relax in style and comfort. Whether travelling for business or pleasure, our leisure facilities, complete with pool, steam room, sauna and gym, as well as fine dining at our new Grill & Lounge restaurant are sure to make your stay memorable. We also have newly refurbished meeting and banqueting rooms making us the perfect location for conferences, celebrations and corporate events.

As a Head Chef, you will be vital in delivering an outstanding experience to all our guests.

We see you as a real ambassador of our company, operating on the front line with an organised, proactive approach and a meticulous eye for detail. You enjoy being part of a busy team but also have the drive to build a strong team, always keen to deliver the highest standards and exceed our guests’ expectations.

Outline Job Description:

Our Head Chef is vital in delivering a great guest experience to all our guests.
Recruit, drive and develop a strong kitchen team to produce high-quality dishes and maximise profit.
Ensure team compliance with all health and safety requirements.
To ensure Service delivery of food for core standard menus, as set down by dish specification.
Food stock must be controlled through correct ordering, storage, and production in line with business requirements.
To adhere to core standards on menu descriptions, training and focussing the team on presentation
This position will include shifts working Saturday and Sunday. Additional hours may be required to support the hotel during our busier periods, including bank holidays.
