Job type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000 basic + OTE £40,000, with performance-based salary progression

K Packaging Ltd is a well-established supplier of high-quality packaging solutions to businesses across a wide range of sectors. We supply corrugated boxes, protective packaging, bubble wrap, mailing bags, polythene products, tapes, sacks and much more.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and results-focused Business Development Manager to join our growing sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced B2B sales professional who enjoys winning new business, building long-term customer relationships and managing their own territory.

Previous packaging industry experience is not essential, as full product training will be provided. You will also have the opportunity to shadow one of our experienced Business Development Managers before taking ownership of your own territory.

The Role

Based from our Rotherham office, you will be responsible for developing business throughout the Manchester area. Your focus will be on generating new business opportunities while building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers.

Responsibilities include:

· Identifying and developing new business opportunities through telephone, email and face-to-face prospecting.

· Building relationships with key decision-makers across a variety of industries.

· Managing and growing your own customer portfolio.

· Understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable packaging solutions.

· Preparing quotations and following opportunities through to completion.

· Achieving agreed sales targets and business objectives.

· Delivering excellent customer service throughout the sales process.

· Maintaining accurate customer records and reporting using Microsoft Office and Outlook.

· Planning and managing your own diary effectively.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

· Experienced in external B2B sales, with a minimum of 1 year’s experience.

· Confident with cold calling, prospecting and business development.

· A strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills.

· Self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative.

· Organised, professional and target driven.

· Confident negotiating and closing sales.

· Competent using Microsoft Office and Outlook.

· In possession of a full UK driving licence.

Salary and Benefits

· £35,000 basic salary.

· OTE £40,000 through performance-based salary progression.

· Company car.

· Fuel card.

· Company mobile phone.

· Full product training and support.

Unlike many sales roles, we do not operate a commission scheme. Instead, we set realistic sales targets tailored to the individual. Once your agreed targets have been achieved for three consecutive months, your salary will be reviewed and increased accordingly, rewarding consistent performance.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm

Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
