Full job description

Overview
Molly Maid North Finchley is looking for a confident, professional and highly personable In-Home Sales & Estimating Consultant to join our growing business.

This is not a cleaning position.

You will visit prospective customers in their homes following enquiries they have made about our cleaning services. Your job will be to understand their requirements, assess the property, explain the benefits of our professional service, prepare an estimate using our established pricing structure and, most importantly, confidently convert suitable enquiries into customers.

Appointments and leads will primarily be generated for you through our existing marketing and enquiry channels.

Full training will be provided on the Molly Maid service, our estimating process, pricing structure and approach to customer consultations.

Approximately 12 hours per week across two days, typically around 6 hours per day.

Some flexibility will be required depending on customer appointment times and locations.

There may be an opportunity for the role and hours to expand as the business continues to grow.

Key responsibilities

Attend pre-arranged estimates at prospective customers' homes across our North London territory.
Build rapport and establish trust quickly with prospective customers.
Understand the customer's cleaning requirements, priorities and expectations.
Assess the property and determine the appropriate level and frequency of service.
Clearly explain the Molly Maid service and what differentiates us from independent cleaning arrangements.
Present quotations confidently using our established pricing framework.
Handle common questions and objections professionally.
Ask for the business and convert suitable enquiries into weekly, fortnightly and other regular customers.
Follow up prospective customers when appropriate.
Maintain accurate records of estimates, outcomes and customer requirements.
Provide clear handover information to the operations team once a customer has been secured.
Represent Molly Maid professionally at all times.

Essential criteria:

Excellent face-to-face communication skills.
Naturally confident speaking with new people.
Strong ability to build rapport.
Comfortable discussing prices and asking customers to make a decision.
Professional appearance and manner.
Reliable, organised and punctual.
Good listening skills and attention to detail.
Able to work independently without constant supervision.
Comfortable visiting customers in their homes.
Good written and spoken English.
Able to use basic digital systems for appointments and customer information.
Full UK driving licence.
Access to reliable transport or ability to travel between customer appointments.

Desirable experience:

Previous experience in sales, field sales, estate agency, recruitment, hospitality, customer service, account management, home services or another customer-facing environment would be particularly useful.
