Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our retail team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong management skills and retail experience to advance their careers within a vibrant and customer-focused environment. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, ensuring smooth store functioning, and fostering a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Duties

Assist the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the retail outlet, including operational tasks and staff supervision.
Lead, motivate, and manage team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure adequate coverage during all operating hours.
Oversee merchandising activities to ensure products are attractively displayed and stock levels are maintained appropriately.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
Maintain administrative records such as inventory logs and sales reports
Support visual merchandising efforts to enhance store presentation in line with brand standards.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store environment.

Skills

Proven experience within retail environments, including supervising teams and managing sales operations and preferably management experience.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate staff effectively.
Excellent communication skills.
Organisational skills with a keen eye for detail; capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.
Proficient in sales management techniques and merchandising strategies to optimise store performance.
Sound time management skills to meet deadlines and handle operational demands seamlessly.
Administrative experience related to stock control, reporting, and staff scheduling.
Demonstrated ability to utilise organisational tools such Microsoft Excel and inventory software.
Professional demeanour with polished phone etiquette when interacting with customers.
