Balgove Larder is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our friendly and ambitious team.

Recent investments include a major extension to our award-winning butchery and the creation of a larger storage facility, enhancing our operations and supporting our long-term ambitions.

We're looking for someone who is excited to be part of this journey and who wants to contribute to our continued success.

As our Bookkeeper, you'll play a vital role in keeping our finance function running smoothly. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Process purchase and sales invoices and reconcile aged debtors/creditors ledgers.
Engage with suppliers regarding payments.
Maintain accurate financial records.
Assist with payroll administration.
Support the month-end procedures.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a bookkeeping or finance role.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero would be an advantage.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and part of a team.
