Location: Nightingale Court Waterlooville
Hours: Full-time or Part-time - Various shift patterns – Alternate Weekends

As a Carer, you will work under the guidance of the Senior Carer to deliver safe, high-quality care that reflects each person's individual needs, preferences and wishes.

You will support people with their daily routines while encouraging independence, maintaining dignity and promoting wellbeing.

Your duties will include:

Delivering person-centred care in accordance with care plans and company policies.
Supporting people with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
Assisting with eating, drinking and daily living activities.
Encouraging service users to maintain hobbies, interests and community connections.
Promoting independence while providing appropriate levels of support.
Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns to the Senior Carer.
Maintaining accurate care records and documentation.
Safeguarding the welfare of all individuals receiving support.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals.
Contributing to a positive, caring and supportive environment.
Good written and spoken English.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
Ability to build trusting relationships with service users.
Good written record-keeping skills.
Ability to follow care plans and company procedures.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to respond calmly to changing situations.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of vulnerable adults.
Willingness to undertake mandatory training and ongoing professional development.
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards one).
Previous experience in a care or support role.
Experience supporting people with additional care needs.
Leadership or mentoring experience.
Experience maintaining electronic or written care records.
Compassionate and kind.
Patient and understanding.
Dependable and trustworthy.
Positive and enthusiastic.
Flexible and adaptable.
Respectful of people's choices, beliefs and individuality.
