Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Educator to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in childcare and early childhood education to make a positive impact on children's lives while developing their management and leadership skills. The Nursery Educator will work closely with colleagues, parents, and children to promote a supportive learning atmosphere.

MUST BE LEVEL 3 QUALIFIED IN CHILDCARE

Duties

Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and confidence
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and behaviour for reporting to parents and management
Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily routines and special events within the nursery
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development, behaviour, and needs
Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, organised, and conducive to learning at all times
Assist in managing nursery staff schedules and providing guidance to junior team members when necessary
Drive nursery vehicles for outings or transportation of children when required (if holding relevant licences)

Skills

Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles
Management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
Leadership qualities that inspire confidence among colleagues and children alike
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work well with children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and creativity
Strong organisational skills to manage daily routines efficiently
Knowledge of childcare regulations and health & safety standards within nurseries
Driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities

This role is ideal for motivated individuals committed to nurturing young minds while developing their professional skills within a supportive environment. All positions are paid in accordance with employment regulations.

Pay: £13.50 per hour
