Full job description

Located under a railway arch in Battersea, Archway is a neighbourhood Italian restaurant and wine bar driven by the seasons.

Our small, ever-evolving menu celebrates the connection between land and table, featuring freshly picked farm vegetables, wild herbs and fruits, Wiltshire truffles, and South Coast fish.

Our wine list is regularly changing and has been chosen by us with a mix of high quality, interesting wines.

Archway has a key focus on sustainability, with growing and foraging at the heart of it. Everything we do focuses on produce, people and the planet.

As a Front of House Team Member, you will be essential in delivering outstanding hospitality and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Reporting to the Front of House Manager, you will utilize your restaurant experience and food safety knowledge to provide excellent service. Your core skills in serving and guest services, combined with your premium hospitality expertise, will enhance the dining experience. Additionally, relevant skills such as time management and basic math will support efficient operations. Join our team to make a significant impact in a vibrant and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
Take and process customer orders accurately while managing time effectively.
Maintain food safety standards by adhering to hygiene practices and regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
Handle payment transactions.
Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance overall satisfaction.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong guest service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
Experience in food preparation and kitchen operations is a plus
