Job Summary
DUE TO A NEW CONTRAT AND EXPANSION. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our family business and team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role involves operating a curtainsider lorry, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the integrity of the cargo throughout the journey.

Multi drop driver with both residential and business deliveries in and around the Staffordshire Cheshire and Shropshire areas.

Electric pump trucks provided to make deliveries easier.

Full support from the office and a great team to work with.

Working day is mainly 7-30 in the yard to start shift and expecting to be finished between 17.00 -18-00 Overtime available

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing techniques are used to prevent damage during transit.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork for each delivery.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of the lorry.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Current drivers CPC up to date.
Experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
