Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner/Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various premises, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests and staff alike. Previous experience in hospitality or janitorial roles is advantageous, but full training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting where attention to detail and reliability are highly valued.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities in accordance with company standards
Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish supplies such as toiletries and towels
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all surfaces to maintain cleanliness and safety
Ensure all waste is disposed of correctly and recycling protocols are followed
Report any maintenance issues or damages identified during cleaning to the appropriate department
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Maintain cleaning equipment in good condition and notify management of any repairs needed
Assist with additional duties as required to support the overall cleanliness and organisation of the premises

Requirements

Previous hotel experience or background in hospitality is preferred but not essential
Experience in janitorial or housekeeping roles is desirable
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if necessary
Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or bending
Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
