Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-equipped for food preparation. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in the culinary or hospitality industry, providing an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within a professional kitchen setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and kitchen staff.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Help with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring all items are properly labelled and organised.
Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling procedures are followed.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential.
Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others.
