Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and proactive experienced Part-time Sales Assistant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role offers an opportunity to develop retail experience while working in a dynamic environment, contributing to the overall success of our store. The Sales Assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional service, supporting sales initiatives, and maintaining an organised sales floor.

PREVIOUS RETAIL SALES EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. THIS POSITION REQUIRES WEEKEND WORK. PLEASE INCLUDE A COVER LETTER WHEN SENDING CV.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays
Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and handle cash or card payments
Answer customer queries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Assist with stock replenishment, inventory checks, and organising stockroom areas
Keep the sales floor clean, tidy, and well-organised at all times
Skills
Previous retail experience required
Fluency in English
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and cash reconciliation
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and stock management
Effective time management to prioritise tasks during busy periods
Good phone etiquette when dealing with customer enquiries remotely
Organisational skills to maintain a tidy sales environment and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously

Pay: £12.71-£18.00 per hour

retail: 1 year (preferred)
