Full job description

Location: Bothwell Branch
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are looking for an experienced Yard Person to join our busy and growing team at our Bothwell branch. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced builders merchant environment, ideal for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and enjoys working as part of a team.

Previous experience working within a builders merchant is essential. A Counterbalance Forklift Licence would be beneficial.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the builders merchant industry, with opportunities for progression available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Loading and unloading customer and supplier vehicles safely and efficiently
Preparing customer orders accurately
Assisting customers within the yard
Operating a counterbalance forklift when required
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard
Stock handling and general yard duties
Supporting the warehouse and sales teams when required

Requirements:

Previous builders merchant experience essential
Counterbalance Forklift Licence beneficial
Good knowledge of building materials preferred
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to work safely in a busy yard environment
Good communication and customer service skills
