Full job description

We are currently seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join our team, due to the current phase of expansion our business is moving into.

With over 12 years of trading behind us, the business has built an outstanding reputation providing flooring solutions within the residential construction sector, education & healthcare, and the commercial fit out industries.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to play a key role in shaping a business unit, with genuine autonomy and long-term career prospects.

The Role

This is a senior commercial position with responsibility for overseeing the financial and contractual performance of Commercial flooring projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget while protecting commercial margins.

The successful candidate will have a strong background within the flooring or fit out sector, ideally having worked for a Commercial flooring or fit out contractor on projects such as commercial developments, residential schemes, healthcare, education, industrial or public-sector projects.

Responsibilities

· Take overall commercial responsibility for multiple projects.

Manage projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Oversee project budgets, cost control, forecasting and cash flow.
Prepare and review monthly CVRs and commercial reports.
Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations and appointments.
Review and manage subcontractor applications and payments.
Prepare and submit valuations, variations and applications for payment.
Identify, price and negotiate variations and additional works.
Manage contractual and commercial risk across projects.
Work closely with Contracts Managers and senior management.
Monitor project performance, margins and profitability.
Manage final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
Provide commercial guidance to the project team.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

About You

The Ideal Candidate should -

Have significant commercial experience within the Commercial flooring/fit out services sector.
Have previously worked for a Commercial flooring/fit out contractor.
Have experience managing the commercial delivery of projects from procurement through to final account.
Be commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills.
Have strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
Be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Have experience producing forecasts, CVRs and senior-level commercial reporting.
Be capable of working closely with operational teams while maintaining strong commercial control.

£55,000–£65,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
