Job Description:

Jay Security Limited is a UK-based Security and Events business providing professional, SIA-licensed personnel across a range of sectors. With an operations and management team with a combined 65 years of experence within the security industry. Our approach is simple: professionalism, reliability, and discretion. .

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and vigilant Security Officer to protect our Premises, Staff, Visitors, and Assets. The successful candidate will maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring site activity, preventing unauthorized access, responding to incidents, and enforcing company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities include

Patrolling assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to deter criminal activity and identify security risks.

Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and other security equipment.

Control access to buildings and ensure only authorised personnel and visitors enter the premises.

Conduct regular security inspections and report hazards or maintenance issues.

Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, accidents, and incidents.

Complete accurate incident, accident, and daily activity reports.

Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.

Enforce site rules, health and safety regulations, and company policies.

Assist emergency services when required.

Investigate suspicious activity and escalate concerns appropriately.

Perform opening and closing security procedures as required.

Protect company property and confidential information.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential

Valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) Licence .

Excellent observation and communication skills.

Ability to remain calm under pressure.

Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good written and verbal communication.

Flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Physically fit and capable of standing or walking for extended periods.

Desirable

Previous experience in the security industry.

CCTV Licence (if applicable).

First Aid qualification.

Full UK driving licence. (Preffered but not essental)

Experience using security reporting systems.
