Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Product Development Engineer to join our passionate team. In this role, you will drive the design, development, and refinement of cutting-edge products that meet market needs and exceed customer expectations. Your expertise will be pivotal in transforming concepts into tangible solutions, ensuring quality, functionality, and manufacturability at every stage. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence product innovation from initial ideation through production launch, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

The engineer is also fully responsible for pre-sales marketing, bidding / proposals submissions and follow up with the company CRM/leads management tools set in addition to the hands-on working with lab-scale development test equipments and fully experienced in performing FEA and CFD simulations independantly. A passion for drone pilot training including fixed wing platforms and able to easily switch between the research environment and the industrialisation shop floor in running small site and also interfacing with our parrtners and services provider in India and France.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into detailed product specifications and design concepts
Develop and refine prototypes through iterative testing, analysis, and validation processes
Conduct comprehensive feasibility assessments to optimize design performance, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability
Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings and models for production readiness
Support manufacturing teams by providing technical guidance during product assembly and troubleshooting
Perform rigorous testing and quality assurance procedures to ensure products meet safety standards and performance benchmarks
Document all development activities meticulously, including design changes, test results, and compliance records

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degrees are a plus
Proven experience in product development, preferably within a fast-paced innovation environment
Strong proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD) for designing complex components and assemblies
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance
Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials selection, and rapid prototyping techniques
Effective communication skills to clearly articulate technical concepts and project updates
