Join Our Team as Kitchen Assistant

24 hours a week over 3 days including alternative weekends.

At Jubilee House, we believe that mealtimes are an important part of our residents' day. We're looking for a caring and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our chefs in delivering nutritious meals, excellent hospitality and a high-quality dining experience for our residents and visitors.

Working alongside our two chefs, who work opposite shifts, you'll play a key role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, supporting meal service, and delivering refreshments throughout the home.

Someone who is organised, flexible and willing to go the extra mile for residents.
Previous kitchen, hospitality or catering experience is welcomed but not essential as full training will be provided.
Someone who will treat others with dignity, kindness and respect.

Your Responsibilities

Support the Chef on duty with food preparation and meal service.
Prepare and deliver tea trolley services throughout the home.
Serve hot and cold drinks, snacks and refreshments in line with residents' dietary needs and preferences.
Assist with the preparation and service of meals, helping to ensure an enjoyable dining experience.
Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment and maintain excellent standards of cleanliness.
Complete cleaning schedules and maintain food hygiene records.
Receive, store and rotate food deliveries safely.
Support themed events, celebrations and hospitality services within the home.
Help create a warm and welcoming environment for residents, families and visitors.
Work collaboratively with the chefs, Home Manager and wider care team to ensure residents receive the best possible service.
