Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time IT Teacher to join our vibrant Alternative Education Provision. In this role, you will inspire and empower students by delivering engaging IT lessons tailored to diverse learning needs. Your expertise will help foster a supportive environment where students can develop essential digital skills, confidence, and independence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' educational journeys while working flexibly within a dynamic team committed to innovative teaching practices.

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging IT lessons aligned with curriculum standards, adapting content for students with varied abilities and learning styles

Support students in developing foundational digital literacy, including basic computer skills, software applications, and online safety
Have good SEND experience
Incorporate elements of speech therapy, communication skills, and behavior management strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
Collaborate with colleagues to design inclusive lesson plans that integrate special education needs and early childhood education principles
Provide one-on-one tutoring or mentoring sessions to reinforce learning concepts and boost student confidence in technology use
Monitor student progress through assessments, feedback, and regular documentation, ensuring continuous improvement
Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior, respect, and active participation

Requirements

Proven experience teaching IT or related subjects within an educational setting, preferably with children or young learners
The requirement is going to be one full day per week lasting 7-8 hours per day.
Knowledge of special education practices, behavior management techniques, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
Experience working with children across early childhood stages, including preschool or toddler care environments
Familiarity with speech therapy techniques and their application in educational contexts is desirable
Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with diverse needs, including those requiring additional support in physical education or childcare activities
Demonstrated organizational skills for lesson planning, proofreading educational materials, and tracking student progress
