We're recruiting a Housing Services Neighbourhood Manager to lead and direct our neighbourhood, leasehold and Right to Buy teams, making sure estate and tenancy management is delivered to a consistently high standard and in line with Council policy and regulatory requirements. You'll be expected to raise performance across void management, tenancy compliance and neighbourhood standards, while building the partnerships needed to tackle problem areas and deliver lasting improvement.

This is a genuinely impactful post: the successful candidate will directly drive tenant and leaseholder experience, helping the service meet the expectations of the social housing regulator and contributing to North Tyneside Council's Plan for Change and its priorities for thriving, resilient neighbourhoods.

Our Housing Management team looks after tenancy, estate, leasehold and Right to Buy services for Council homes across North Tyneside. We're the visible, day-to-day link between the Council and our tenants and leaseholders, working to keep neighbourhoods safe, well maintained and places people are proud to live — directly supporting the borough's wider ambitions for good-quality, affordable homes.

You'll bring significant specialist knowledge of housing management gained through broad experience, along with a relevant qualification or equivalent experience, the ability to manage a range of teams, and excellent communication skills for working with officers, councillors and partners at all levels; detailed knowledge of housing and related legislation is desirable and can be developed further in post through training and support.

The successful candidate

Alongside leading neighbourhood, leasehold and RTB service delivery, you'll develop neighbourhood management approaches for identified vulnerable areas, and use your specialist housing knowledge to shape service plans, policies and strategic reports — drawing on the strong communication, partnership and people-management skills set out in the person specification.
