Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Dental Receptionist who possesses excellent administrative and customer service skills to join our busy private dental practice. The successful applicant must be punctual and polite as well as professional in manner and appearance. Must have a friendly and helpful manner with our patients and be supportive of the team.

We work from Monday-Saturday with reduced clinical hours on Saturday from 9:30 am to 5.00 pm. Weekday hours from Monday to Friday are between 9.00 am to 6.00 pm and the lunch hour between 1.00 to 2.00 pm.

The hours you will be required to work are 40 hours per week equating to a Full-Time position. This will include 2 Saturdays a month, with a week day off.

Dental Receptionist Duties include, but are not limited to:

Front of house and receptionist duties; telephone management including booking and rescheduling appointments
Knowledge of Dental Reception work or previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is essential
Processing payments and recording daily takings
Knwoeldge of SOE -Exact or similar dental booking software is essential
Provide outstanding customer service at all times, deal with patient queries effectively and efficiently
Welcoming new patients and making their journey comfortable
Obtaining their medical questionnaires, consent forms, treatment plans etc.
Responding to emails and the referring dentists queries with basic Microsoft Word user skills
Keep the dental surgery up to date collaborating with various other suppliers
Follow all practice systems and procedures
Any other ad hoc responsibilities as reasonably requested

What we need from you

You should be fluent in English, both written and spoken and have basic knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office or similar computer programmes
Good communication and customer service skills, keeping patient satisfaction in mind
Excellent professionalism and relationship building skills
Strong work ethic, teamwork ability with an enthusiastic patient-first attitude
High levels of attention to detail
Proficient user of the requisite dental software (SOE preferred but not essential) and Microsoft package
You should be punctual, disciplined, organised, flexible and self motivated.
Be Proactive and take the lead to constantly achieve and exceed the goals and be a great team player in our small team of dentists and nurses

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £16.00 - £18.00 per hour (based on experience)

Start Date: Immediate. Full training will be provided to ensure the successful candidate understands the practice vision and our day to day values.
