Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday (06:00 - 14:00) or Monday - Friday (14:00 - 22:00)
Salary: £13.73 - £24.50 per hour, dependant on experience plus shift allowance where applicable.

We are looking for passionate individuals to join our specialist welding team, whether you're bringing years of experience or looking for your first opportunity to develop a career in advanced TIG welding.
Working alongside highly skilled engineers and welders, you'll contribute to cutting-edge casting repair projects and pioneering engineering programmes. You'll have the opportunity to work with advanced aluminium alloys, highly complex components, and help solve welding challenges that push the boundaries of what's possible.
Whether you're an experienced non-ferrous TIG Welder, have recently completed a welding apprenticeship, achieved a relevant welding qualification, or have gained TIG welding experience in industry, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills while working on components that require innovative repair techniques and welding procedures, including projects involving materials and applications that have never been welded before.
Working on globally recognised engineering programmes, you'll apply established welding techniques while also contributing to the development and qualification of new welding processes for next-generation technologies.

About the role:
You’ll play a key role in the repair and finishing of complex aluminium castings, ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved. Working to precise specifications, you’ll carry out TIG welding, support various industry sector approved processes, and maintain full traceability across your work.
As part of a collaborative and skilled team, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement, support qualification activities, and work on components for highly demanding applications, including aerospace.
What you’ll be doing:

Carrying out TIG welding repairs on aluminium castings using approved procedures

Completing pre-welding safety and specification checks before each job

Preparing, grinding and finishing components to required profiles

Recording all welding activities and maintaining traceability documentation

Supporting aerospace and coded welding activities where qualified

Maintaining welding equipment and reporting any issues

Contributing to audits, training and team capability development
Who we’re looking for:
You’ll bring proven welding experience and a strong commitment to quality and safety in a technical environment:

TIG welding experience with non-ferrous alloys (Aluminium preferred)

Experience welding repairs or work to thicknesses between 1mm - 20mm

Qualification to BSEN ISO 9606 or equivalent

Understanding of welding safety and HSE practices

Ability to interpret welding and material specifications

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards

Ability to work independently and within a team

Ability to trravel to site
