About Athena Surfaces

Athena Surfaces is a growing UK manufacturer and installer of premium stone worksurfaces. We supply some of the UK's leading housebuilders, developers and retail partners.

We are now looking for an experienced and ambitious Sales Director to lead our sales team and help drive the next stage of our growth.

The Role

As Sales Director, you will take overall responsibility for our sales strategy and performance. You will lead and develop our sales team, grow relationships with key customers and identify new business opportunities across the UK.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will have the opportunity to shape our sales function, develop our people and make a real impact on the future growth of Athena.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver Athena's sales strategy and growth plans.
Lead, motivate and develop the sales team.
Set clear sales targets, KPIs and individual objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and national housebuilders.
Identify and win new business opportunities.
Manage key accounts and senior customer relationships.
Take ownership of the sales pipeline and sales forecast.
Monitor sales performance and ensure targets are achieved.
Use Salesforce or similar CRM systems to manage opportunities, customer information and activity.
Review sales data and reports to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Ensure sales growth is profitable and commercially sustainable.
Work closely with other departments to ensure a high level of customer service.
Travel nationally when required to meet customers and support business development.

About You

We are looking for an experienced sales leader who is:

Proven in a Sales Director, Head of Sales or similar senior sales role.
Able to demonstrate a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
Experienced in leading and developing a sales team.
Confident managing major accounts and senior customer relationships.
Commercially minded with strong negotiation skills.
Comfortable using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
A strong communicator and relationship builder.
Strategic in your thinking but willing to take a hands-on approach.
Motivated by achieving results and developing people.
Comfortable travelling nationally when required.

Experience within manufacturing, construction, building products, worksurfaces, housebuilding, property development or another B2B environment would be an advantage.
