Full job description

We are looking for an Office administrator and assistant with an interest in property/buildings for our multi-disciplined offices comprising Wessex Surveyors, well-established Chartered Surveyors, Vicary & Co - an Independent Estate Agents and Valuers with a sales and lettings department.

You will become a valuable addition to our growing and friendly team working with existing owner/surveyor and existing team of four staff. The role will entail customer care and administrative tasks for all companies. The applicant will need to have good communication skills, and be IT/computer confident.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide attention to detail and good customer service skills to communicate with both private and business clients.

Initially there is a probationary period of 3 months.

The desired individual must be a friendly and approachable person with excellent people skills and a willingness to learn.

This is a Part Time role based at Bridport offices (Monday- Friday 9 am to 2.30 pm). Extra hours may be available during busy periods.

Specific duties entail:

Client care and customer service.
Replying to enquiries.
Case file management, desktop research on properties, and diary management.
Light book-keeping (use of software e.g. Xero).
Any other business in supporting the surveyor/valuer.
General Office management (e.g., ordering supplies).
Assist with Company administration duties.

The successful candidate will:

Have good communication skills.
Have good customer service skills.
Have a willingness to learn.
Have a positive attitude and good work ethic.
Have good time management.
Be computer literate with prior experience using google sheets and google docs (or Microsoft equivalent) essential.
Be able to prioritise their workload.
Be able to multitask.
Have good IT skills.
