Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated After School Club Assistant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children after school hours. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster positive experiences, support children's development, and ensure smooth daily operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners’ lives while developing your skills in childcare, teaching, and child engagement.

Hours: The 1st postition will be Monday-Friday 14:30-16:30 during school term. The second role will be Monday and Thursday 14:30-16:30 during school term.

There will also be paid meetings every other week.

Duties

Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Organize and facilitate fun, educational activities that promote social skills, creativity, and learning
Assist with homework support and encourage positive behavior through constructive guidance
Maintain a clean and organized environment, including activity areas and snack stations
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or concerns
Support with transportation duties if necessary, including driving children to local activities or events
Collaborate with colleagues to plan daily schedules and special events that enrich the after school experience

Requirements

Prior experience in childcare, teaching, nannying, or similar roles is highly desirable
Ability to engage children in a variety of activities with enthusiasm and patience
Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus
Passion for working with children and supporting their development in a safe environment
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and activity plans
Basic understanding of child safety protocols and first aid knowledge is advantageos

Pay: £20.00 per hour
