Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team in our new afro-carribean inspired British Pub. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment where your skills in serving and hospitality will be highly valued. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a passion for the hospitality industry and a keen eye for detail.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences.
Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and deliver drinks promptly to ensure a positive experience.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and bar equipment.
Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times.
Manage cash register operations, process payments accurately, and handle cash or card transactions efficiently.
Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and address any issues professionally.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure the bar is well-equipped throughout service hours.
Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards relevant to beverage service.
Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders efficiently.
Basic maths skills for handling payments and giving correct change.
Proven time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A personable attitude with strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers.
