Waiter / Waitress / FOH (Part-Time & Full-Time)

Location: Aroma of India, Northampton NN2 7HH

About Us

Aroma of India is a family-run Indian restaurant known for its authentic cuisine, friendly atmosphere, and excellent customer service. We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Waiter/Waitress to join our team. If you enjoy working with people, thrive in a busy restaurant environment, and take pride in delivering outstanding service, we'd love to hear from you.

Hours Available:

Students: Approximately 20 hours per week
Non-students: Approximately 30-35 hours per week
Evening and weekend availability is essential.

Pay

National Minimum Wage (depending on age)

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Take food and drink orders accurately.
Serve food and beverages efficiently.
Provide excellent customer service throughout the dining experience.
Prepare and reset tables before and after service.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Answer telephone enquiries and take takeaway orders.
Manage online delivery platforms and collection orders.
Process customer payments using the EPOS till system.
Assist with opening and closing duties, ensuring the restaurant is clean and ready for service.

What We're Looking For

Applicants must be 20 years of age or older, preferably mature and experienced.
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role is preferred (at least 1 year is ideal).
Experience working in an Indian restaurant is an advantage but not essential.
Friendly, professional, and confident when interacting with customers.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Calm under pressure and able to work efficiently during busy service periods.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
