Full job description

About the Role

As a Bespoke Services Support Worker, you will provide professional, person-centred support to adults living with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, mental health diagnoses, and/or substance misuse challenges. This is a hands-on role where you’ll make a direct impact on the lives of others by promoting independence, inclusion, and dignity.

You’ll work within people’s own homes and community settings across the Thanet and Canterbury areas, helping each individual to develop life skills, manage daily routines, and achieve their personal goals. Every day will be varied - from implementing behavioural support plans and encouraging community participation to supporting with medication or emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Build trusting, respectful relationships that promote positive communication and personal growth.
Assist in the design, delivery, and review of risk assessments, behavioural management plans, and personalised support strategies.
Provide practical daily support such as meal preparation, attending appointments or community activities, and helping maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
Record and monitor progress through detailed daily notes, behavioural observations, and data collection to support service improvement.
Liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
Apply approved de-escalation and positive behaviour techniques to manage challenging situations safely and compassionately.

You should be:

Committed to developing professionally - after successfully completing your probation period, you will be required to enrol in and complete an NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or higher (funded by the company).

Ideal Candidate Specifications

Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or behavioural support needs.
Previous experience within supported living, mental health, or community care environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and occasional nights.
Excellent problem-solving and de-escalation skills with a calm and professional approach.
