Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional waier/waitress to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role requires a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. The waiter/ waitress will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout their shift.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
Serve meals and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and serving
Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Address guest queries or concerns professionally, aiming for complete satisfaction
Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods with excellent time management skills

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
Familiarity with serving procedures, upselling techniques, and guest service standards is preferred
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a bustling environment
Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to ensure positive guest interactions
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
