The Bread & Cheese in Benfleet - Join a respected independent pub & restaurant group that places a strong emphasis on quality and a welcoming dining experience. Role Summary: As Head Chef, you will bring your expertise, creativity, and leadership to the kitchen. You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering a seasonal menu that reflects our commitment to quality. This role is ideal for someone who values high-quality ingredients, enjoys a close-knit work environment, and is passionate about delivering food that keeps guests returning.

Responsibilities:

Lead the kitchen team in delivering a high-quality, seasonally inspired menu.
Maintain the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and service.
Source and manage top-quality ingredients in line with our commitment to quality.
Oversee kitchen operations, including stock control, budgeting, and scheduling.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
Mentor, motivate, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a similar environment.
Passion for creating exceptional dishes with seasonal ingredients.
Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach and excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, maintaining high standards.
Genuine passion for food, creativity, and continuous learning.
