About Us

Klinefelter Syndrome Support Scotland is a newly established charity dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by Klinefelter Syndrome (XXY).

Our mission is to raise awareness, reduce isolation, provide trusted support, improve understanding, and advocate for better healthcare and opportunities across Scotland.

Founded through lived experience, we are building Scotland’s first dedicated charity focused solely on supporting the XXY community. We’re now looking for passionate volunteers who want to help create meaningful, lasting change.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Volunteer Business Support Coordinator to become part of our founding volunteer team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, planning, administration, and helping projects run smoothly. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, you’ll help coordinate day-to-day activities while supporting the growth of an exciting new Scottish charity.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in the charity sector while making a genuine difference to people’s lives.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Volunteer Business Support Coordinator, you may assist with:

Coordinating meetings and maintaining calendars
Preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes
Organising documents, policies and internal records
Supporting volunteer recruitment and onboarding
Assisting with project planning and tracking progress
Helping prepare reports and presentations
Managing administrative tasks and shared files
Supporting communication between trustees and volunteers
Assisting with funding applications and partnership administration
Helping improve internal processes and systems as the charity grows

✔ Comfortable using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

✔ Able to manage their own workload

✔ Passionate about helping others

✔ Interested in supporting health, wellbeing or community organisations

Previous charity experience is not required!

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and will provide guidance and support as you settle into the role.

Time Commitment

We understand everyone has different commitments.

We’re ideally looking for volunteers who can contribute around 2 hours per week, with flexibility around when those hours are completed.
