Full job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Initially London team at our Monogramming HQ and Studio in Parsons Green.

This is a full time 9-5 role that would be perfect for a recent creative graduate looking to explore a role in the textiles industry.

Studio Assistant Job Description

Reporting to our Studio Manager and Operations Manager, the Studio Assistant is an integral part of our team. You must be willing to learn and eager to take on tasks that support the day-to-day running of the studio. The Studio Assistant will learn aspects of the business including but not limited to, managing our website, the fulfilment of all retail orders, inventory management, quality control, shipping, assisting with social media posts, being first point of contact for clients at our studio. It is a hands-on role and we are looking for someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude who will be happy to support any member of the team when required.

In the event of sickness, you may be asked to support on site at our Monogramming Studio in Peter Jones on Sloane Square

The Role Includes

Working face-to-face with clients as the first point of contact at the studio. Putting through online orders via Shopify, providing design advice and assisting with queries
Responding to retail email enquiries and answering the phone
Print client orders on a daily basis and lay out orders for production based on priority
Ensure stock availability and order in new supplies
Oversee our Shopify platform and managing a smooth flow of the website. Ensuring retail orders are fulfilled within the given timeframe to the highest possible standard
Printing, packaging and shipping orders to the UK via Royal Mail, and internationally via DHL/FedEx. Organising couriers when necessary.
Quality control, checking orders against client order sheets, trimming any loose threads. Photographing all completed orders
Work closely with our Social Media Manager creating content for Instagram and Tiktok
Embossing and etching orders when required
Assisting with trimming, ironing and hand sewing
Managing the stockroom and ordering in new stock
Supporting the managers of the admin team when necessary
Liaising with the team at our Monogramming Studio in Peter Jones, being happy to stand in in the event of sickness

Entry Level Requirements

Face-to-face experience with customers, maintaining our reputation of exceptional customer service
Self-motivated and willingness to learn
Positive 'can-do' attitude
Excellent written English and a confident communicator
Good problem-solving skills
Experience with Shopify is preferred
Experience using Photoshop or Canva
Organised, proactive with a strong attention to detail
Passion for embroidery, monogramming and all things creative!
