Full job description

We are a busy restaurant, bar and rooms operation set in Nantwich, Cheshire looking to appoint an experienced Head Chef with passion and drive.

You will be responsible for our kitchen offering, from designing and costing menus to developing the kitchen brigade and ensuring consistency in every dish. We offer modern, British food in a contemporary style – freshly prepared in our kitchen. You must have experience in leading a team with an effective management style - a hands-on approach with the ability to motivate and inspire the kitchen to prepare and present our food at consistently high standards for our 80 cover restaurant.

In this position you will be expected to manage and maintain HACCP, allergen and other food safety paperwork to company standards and to ensure the team fulfill these obligations in your absence. Impeccable organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential. You must be service and standards driven and be able to communicate well with Front Of House.

We would also consider appointing a strong Sous / Senior Sous Chef to work alongside our current Sous in taking the kitchen forward, with a view to becoming Head Chef in due course. We have an excellent team in place, including a Breakfast Chef for our hotel requirements, and we pride ourselves on Chef retention and development within the group. This is the first time we have recruited at senior Chef level for seven years so it's imperative we get the right person on board.
