Full job description

Shandon Park Golf Club is seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering a high-quality food offering across the Club.

As a well-established private members’ club, our hospitality operation is central to club life - from daily dining and competition catering to Sunday lunches, social functions, and private events. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable chef who takes pride in standards, consistency, and teamwork.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef and assist in the day-to-day management of the kitchen operation, including:

Leading and organising the kitchen team
Ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
Delivering efficient service during busy periods and events
Assisting with stock control, ordering, and supplier management
Maintaining strong gross profit margins and cost control
Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards
Helping to train, motivate, and develop kitchen staff

The Person

We are looking for someone who is:

An experienced Sous Chef, or a strong Chef de Partie ready to progress
Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure
Passionate about producing quality food
Commercially aware with good attention to detail
A positive team player with strong communication skills
Committed to high standards and continuous improvement

Experience in a golf club, or similar hospitality environment would be advantageous.
