The Role

We’re seeking a proactive and customer-focused Catering Assistant to support the day-to-day operation of our catering unit, ensuring a high-quality food and beverage service for students, staff, and visitors. Working closely with the Catering Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment within catering provision.

This is an annualised hours role.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Deliver an excellent customer experience by preparing and serving drinks, snacks, and food products in line with Starbucks standards, ensuring high levels of service, quality, and presentation at all times.
Maintain operational excellence by carrying out daily checks, stock control, cash handling, and monitoring wastage to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation of the catering unit.
Uphold food safety and hygiene standards by ensuring all areas are cleaned and maintained in accordance with Food Hygiene Regulations, the Food Safety Act, and internal monitoring requirements.
Promote quality and consistency by ensuring the correct use of equipment and materials, maintaining production standards, and supporting continuous improvement across the catering service.
Support wider catering operations and events by assisting with functions, special events, and additional services as required, helping to meet the needs of the College community.
