Job Summary

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Kitchen Porter, where your energy and dedication will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will support the culinary team by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring all kitchen operations adhere to high standards of hygiene and safety. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for both staff and guests, contributing to an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure all kitchen areas, including workstations, utensils, and equipment, are kept impeccably clean and organized.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers.
Support the cooking process by handling ingredients, washing vegetables, and preparing supplies as needed.
Maintain hygiene standards by regularly sanitizing surfaces, floors, and storage areas in accordance with health regulations.
Help with the safe disposal of waste and recycling materials to keep the kitchen tidy and compliant.
Support serving staff during busy periods by providing necessary supplies or clearing tables when required.
Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.

Skills

Experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including cleaning routines and basic culinary tasks.
Previous hotel or restaurant experience that demonstrates familiarity with hospitality standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with chefs, servers, and other team members.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling and hygiene practices.
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and support team efforts at all times.

Pay: £12.71-£19.91 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30.0 per week
