General Assistant - The Bridges, Buxton Road, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK10 1FW

Adlington Management Services (AMS) is an innovative specialist manager of high-quality retirement accommodation with care. The company is part of the multi-award-winning developer, Adlington Retirement Living.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic General Assistant with great interpersonal and communication skills for our latest Retirement Living Community. Exclusively for the over 60’s, The Bridges is situated in Macclesfield.

Homeowners of the 62 privately-owned apartments will benefit from modern, stylish living in a safe and secure environment. The development offers an independent lifestyle with tailored care and support available if needed, in addition to a host of communal facilities such as an on-site restaurant, Homeowners’ lounge, activities studio, therapy room, hairdressing salon, and more.

Purpose of role:

As a General Assistant your role is to carry out communal and apartment cleaning duties in line with the planned cleaning schedule, to ensure a clean and attractive environment for Homeowners, their families, staff, and visitors and to provide a high quality food service within the restaurant to customers.

Responsibilities include:

· Carry out checks throughout the working day to ensure the communal areas are always clean and presentable.

· Complete apartment cleans.

· Ensure use of all cleaning products and equipment are used correctly.

· Work within the restaurant providing a professional service to customers in line with AMS policies and procedures.

· Report any equipment faults, furniture defects or general cleaning concerns to the Management Team

· Complete records as required.

· Work flexibly as part of the team to ensure the daily front of house service requirements are maintained 7 days a week by providing cover for sickness and holidays as required.

· The role requires you to undertake a DBS check.
