Company Information

We design and manufacture lighting control systems and supply nationwide to commercial construction projects, as well as offices, hotels, and retail. Our technology is a forerunner in the marketplace and is constantly evolving to cater to the ever-growing demand for energy saving within these sectors.

Our client are within the construction industry, who rely on our commitment to customer service, the reliability of the product we supply, and the flexibility we offer to meet their energy saving needs, a reputation built over the last 20 years.

Role Brief

You'll join our small production team at our in-house workshop, building the control panels and cable assemblies that ship to customer sites. The work is varied and involved; from soldering a control board, to wiring a panel, testing cable looms, or making deliveries to client sites. Our projects are bespoke, so no two weeks look the same.

You'll work alongside a small close-knit team of experienced engineers and production staff who'll support you as you learn our products and processes.

As our Production Technician, your roles would include:

Wiring control panels to manufacturing drawings
Cable assembly and testing
Hand soldering of electronic components
Parts picking and stock entry on our computer system
Deliveries of goods to customer sites, mainly London
Testing and quality-checking finished panels
Printing and applying product labels

Full training will be provided, with the opportunity for continued learning and development throughout employment.

What we're looking for

Essential:

Wiring or electrical assembly experience
Comfortable using a computer for basic data entry (Microsoft Office or similar)
Full UK Driving Licence, held at least 2 years

Desirable:

Hand soldering experience
Background in electronic manufacturing, panel building or a related trade
Ability to read electrical drawings
Understanding/experience in business ERP/MRP systems

Working conditions

The role is based in our workshop in Farnham, Surrey (near Guildford). You'll move between a seated workbench (for soldering and detail work), standing tasks (wiring, testing, goods handling) across a typical day, and use our delivery van when required. Therefore, the role includes light manual handling and dexterity tasks. If you have accessibility needs or would need reasonable adjustments to perform the role, we're happy to discuss these at any stage of the process.

What we offer

Salary £27,000 to £33,000 depending on experience
20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, raising to 25 days.
A 40-hour work week (Mon – Thur 08:30 – 17:30, Fri 08:30 – 16:30)
