Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and personable part-time Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and excellent customer service skills. This role involves serving drinks, keeping the bar and outside area clean and tidy, cash handing, maintaining a welcoming environment, and ensuring members have an enjoyable experience. The position offers flexible hours suited to those seeking part-time employment, would be required for extra shifts to cover holidays and during busy events. Previous experience in a bar environment is required, along with friendly attitude, good organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Serve a variety of beverages to customers in a professional and courteous manner
Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
Check identification to verify legal drinking age
Handle cash and card transactions accurately
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts
Provide excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for members
Adhere to health and safety standards, including responsible alcohol service
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery during busy periods

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality environments is essential
Knowledge of safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately and completing till sheets
Good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy shifts
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
Ability to work flexibly on a part-time basis, including evenings and weekends as required

Pay: £12.71 per hour
