DoubleTree by Hilton Nottingham - Gateway Hotel is a warm and inviting destination located just 1 mile from J26 of the M1 and 3 miles from Nottingham City Centre.

Surrounded by a picturesque wildlife haven, the hotel offers modern amenities including 141 well-appointed bedrooms, 10 conference and meeting rooms with a capacity of up to 300 guests, and a fitness center. It serves as a welcoming retreat for both corporate and leisure travelers, offering convenient transport links and 200 complimentary on-site parking spaces. Known for exceptional customer care, the dedicated team ensures that every guest enjoys a memorable experience, with many choosing to return time and again.

Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Reservations Agent at DoubleTree by Hilton Nottingham - Gateway Hotel. The Reservations Agent will be responsible for managing hotel reservations, providing exceptional guest service, and ensuring every guest receives a warm and efficient booking experience from their first point of contact.

Working as part of a dynamic team, Reservations Agent will handle reservation enquiries, maximise room occupancy through effective sales techniques, and ensure all bookings are processed accurately in accordance with Hilton brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle reservation enquiries via telephone, email, and online booking channels
Process new bookings, amendments, cancellations, and special requests accurately and efficiently
Provide guests with information about room types, rates, hotel facilities, and local attractions
Promote room upgrades, packages, and additional hotel services to maximise revenue opportunities
Maintain accurate reservation records using the hotel's Property Management System (PMS)
Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales, and Revenue departments to ensure smooth guest arrivals
Monitor room availability and assist with inventory management
Resolve guest enquiries and complaints professionally while maintaining high service standards
Process deposits and payments in accordance with company procedures
Ensure compliance with Hilton policies, data protection requirements, and health and safety standards

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in hotel reservations, front office, hospitality, or customer service is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
A positive, professional, and guest-focused attitude
Good computer skills and experience using reservation or Property Management Systems is advantageous
