We are recruiting for a skilled Grounds Person to support the Park Manager and Foreman in providing an outstanding service; creating a well maintained and safe environment for our customers, ensuring the Park grounds, facilities, buildings and equipment are well maintained on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidates will ideally have previous experience of working on a holiday park and understand the impact of beautiful surroundings and customer service on our guests; our vision is ‘to make every day feel like a holiday’.

Role: Grounds Person with Warden Duties

Location: Black Beck Holiday Park, Ulverston, LA12 8JN

Hours: 40 hours per week, days off to be discussed.

Salary: £14.16 per hour

Role overview

Ensure the repair and general upkeep of the roads
Assist with the movement of caravans; siting, levelling and basic plumbing into main services
Undertake the pruning trees, strimming when necessary and trimming grassed areas
Undertake as required the delivery of gas cylinders to caravans on the Park
Develop, prepare, repair and landscape including car parks, patios, pathways, concrete bases and groundworks.
Maintain buildings, machinery, hot tub, equipment and vehicles, drains, including daily and routine maintenance and minor repairs
Assisting the gardener where required
Fixing snags and other tasks as requested by senior management.

Requirements

A background in landscape maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and experience with power tools are highly desirable. Experience of moving siting and levelling of caravans would be advantageous though training will be provided.
Able to produce right to work documentation (e.g. passport or birth certificate & NI document)
Able to produce valid (preferably clean) manual driving licence
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with team members and guests effectively.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards.
