Chef de Partie – The Wild Duck, Cirencester

Salary: Competitive | Contract: 48 hours per week

The Wild Duck is a beautifully restored Cotswolds inn located in the village of Ewen near Cirencester. Recently taken over by Sam and Georgie, the founders of the acclaimed hospitality group Country Creatures, the inn has been thoughtfully revived with a focus on warmth, comfort, elevated pub dining, and exceptional guest experience. Under their stewardship, The Wild Duck has embraced a renewed commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and service—bringing new energy to this much-loved local landmark.

Key Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for running your section during preparation and service.
Prepare and cook dishes to the highest quality using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
Support the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in maintaining smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Assist with stock management, ordering, and minimising waste.
Help train and mentor junior chefs, including Commis Chefs and Chef de Parties.
Maintain excellent food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times.
Contribute to menu development and daily specials where appropriate.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

Has strong experience as a Chef de Partie and is ready to take on additional responsibility.
Demonstrates excellent cooking skills and a passion for seasonal, produce-led food.
Is confident running a busy section and supporting others during service.
Shows strong organisation, reliability, and attention to detail.
Works well within a team and contributes to a positive kitchen culture.
Is eager to continue developing within a professional and ambitious kitchen environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
