Universal Windows & Doors Ltd is a well-established, family-run company specialising in the manufacture and installation of high-quality uPVC windows, doors, conservatories, and roof systems across Lanarkshire, Glasgow, and Central Scotland. Established in 1993, we are known for our quality workmanship, excellent customer service, and strong reputation within the double glazing industry.

Office ManagerDouble Glazing Industry Experience Essential

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to join our busy and growing team. The ideal candidate must have previous experience working within the double glazing / windows & doors industry and understand the day-to-day operations involved in managing installations, customer orders, surveys, and scheduling.

This is a key role within the business and requires someone who can confidently manage office operations while delivering excellent customer service.

Key ResponsibilitiesOffice & Administration

Oversee the daily running of the office
Manage customer files, contracts, quotations, and invoices
Handle incoming calls, emails, and customer enquiries professionally
Maintain accurate records and office systems

Industry-Specific Coordination

Schedule surveys, installations, and service appointments
Liaise with installers, surveyors, suppliers, and customers
Coordinate orders for windows, doors, conservatories, and roof systems
Monitor installation progress and resolve scheduling issues efficiently
Understand industry terminology, lead times, and installation processes

Customer Service

Provide excellent support throughout the customer journey
Handle aftersales enquiries and service requests professionally
Ensure a high standard of communication with customers at all times

Team Support

Support directors and management with operational tasks
Assist with payroll preparation, timesheets, and general office management
Ensure office procedures run smoothly and efficiently

Essential Requirements

✔ Previous experience within the double glazing / windows & doors industry
✔ Experience in an Office Manager, Senior Administrator, or Coordinator role
✔ Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
✔ Excellent communication and customer service skills
✔ Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Experience

Knowledge of surveying and installation scheduling
Experience dealing with suppliers and manufacturing orders
Understanding of conservatory and roof system products
