Hours: 40 hours per week (Full-Time)

About Us

Cleveland Cable Company is the UK's largest distributor of electrical cables and accessories. With a reputation built on quality, extensive stock, and unmatched customer service, we are looking for a driven, relationship-focused Area Sales Manager to join our team in the Newcastle area.

The Role

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be the face of Cleveland Cable Company across your territory. This is a highly active field sales role designed for someone who loves building face-to-face relationships and driving business growth.

Your week will be structured for success:

4 Days on the Road: Visiting 4 to 5 clients per day, managing existing accounts, and identifying new business opportunities.
1 Day in the Office: A dedicated admin day at our branch to catch up on paperwork, follow up on quotes, and strategically plan your diary and client calls for the following week.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and grow relationships with electrical wholesalers, contractors, and industrial clients across the Newcastle region.
Achieve sales and gross profit targets through proactive account management and business development.
Identify client requirements and provide accurate, competitive quotes.
Plan your weekly travel and meeting schedule efficiently to maximize client face-time.
Collaborate closely with the internal sales and branch support teams to ensure seamless customer service.

What We Are Looking For

Proven Sales Experience: Experience in field sales, account management, or business development (experience within the electrical, cable, or construction industry is a major advantage, but not essential).
Excellent Relationship Builder: Ability to connect with people easily, from on-site contractors to purchasing managers.
Highly Organized: Strong time-management skills to balance a busy road schedule with your weekly administrative duties.
Self-Motivated: A target-driven individual who thrives working independently in the field.
Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
