Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our financial team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization. Your expertise will help drive sound financial management practices, streamline accounting processes, and contribute to our growth and success. Duties

Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial statements and reports using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
Manage accounts payable processes by verifying invoices, processing payments, and ensuring timely disbursements.
Oversee financial accounting activities including journal entries, ledger reconciliation, and month-end closing procedures.
Support financial management initiatives by monitoring budgets, forecasting cash flow, and assisting with financial analysis.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Mentor junior team members by sharing best practices in accounting procedures and fostering professional development.
Collaborate across departments to improve financial workflows and implement new accounting software solutions as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft.
Strong understanding of financial services industry standards and practices.
Demonstrated expertise in financial management, including accounts payable and general ledger activities.
Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Experience mentoring or training team members is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
