Full job description

Steak Barn Chef – Full-time

Location: Balgove Larder, St Andrews Hours: Full-time, including evenings and weekends Contract: Permanent

We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Chef to join our iconic Steak Barn kitchen. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking over fire, working with exceptional local produce, and delivering high-quality food in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Preparing and cooking Steak Barn menu items to a consistently high standard
Supporting day-to-day kitchen operations
Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
Working closely with the wider Steak Barn team during busy services
Supporting stock control and waste reduction

What We’re Looking For:

Commis, CDP or Grill chef
Experience working as a chef in a fast-paced kitchen
Passion for local produce and quality ingredients
Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Evening and weekend availability
