Full job description

ONLY APPLY TO THIS ROLE IF YOU LIVE WITHIN 50 MINUTES COMMUTE TO MUNDFORD IN NORFOLK. THIS IS AN OFFICE BASED ROLE IN OUR NEWLY BUILT OFFICE.

Overview

We are seeking detail orientated and proactive Bookkeeper to join our award winning dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes for a wide range of businesses. Your expertise will help support the company's Accountants by handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks with precision and efficiency. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about maintaining organised financial data, this opportunity is perfect for you!

Responsibilities

Record and categorise all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero to ensure accurate bookkeeping.
Manage accounts payable processes by processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, verifying expenses, and ensuring timely payments.
Reconcile bank statements regularly to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate account balances.
Maintain organised records of receipts, invoices, and other financial documents..
Assist with payroll and CIS processing as needed.
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by preparing necessary reports and documentation for the Accountants.

Requirements

Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks or Xero a strong advantage.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
Formal Accounting qualifications desirable but not essential.
