Role Overview

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Personal Tax Manager to oversee our personal tax compliance function in our Stamford office.

This is a key managerial position responsible for overseeing the delivery of personal tax compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will manage client relationships, review complex tax returns, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, including HNWIs, directors, sole traders and partnerships
Act as the main point of contact for client queries
Review and sign off self-assessment tax returns
Oversee preparation of tax computations for individuals
Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns in line with HMRC deadlines and handle enquiries and correspondence
Maintain up to date knowledge of UK tax legislation
Provide technical support on income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Ideally CTA qualified or ATT qualified with strong compliance experience within a practice
Strong experience in personal tax compliance within a practice and proven experience reviewing complex tax returns
Up to date technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation
Experience managing client relationships and leading a team
