Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the leadership and operational management of our care home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional care home living , with a focus on dementia and Alzheimer's care. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to lead with compassion, uphold care standards, and foster a positive environment for residents and staff alike.

Duties

Assist the Home Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Lead and supervise care staff, promoting best practices in senior care, dementia care, and medication administration.
Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans that address residents' specific needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia-related conditions.
Monitor quality of care delivery, ensuring high standards are maintained consistently.
Facilitate staff training and development programs to enhance skills in dementia care, medication management, and leadership.
Manage resident admissions, discharge procedures, and maintain accurate documentation related to care provision.
Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that promotes dignity and independence for all residents.

Skills

Proven experience working within care home environments with a focus on senior and dementia care.
Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in a care home setting.
Knowledge of care planning processes, medication administration protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, staff, and external professionals.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate approach combined with strong organizational skills to support both residents’ well-being and team development.
Familiarity with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia-specific caregiving techniques is highly desirable.
